Consciousness

It is time we look around and inside our minds and souls and become aware of the route that the small group of irresponsible or incompetent leaders who mange the world's resources and wealth are taking us all. It is time we see how much injustice there is and how most of peoples are manipulated with lies and corruption through works of propaganda. It is time we engage in a cause to help our brothers and sisters, to help our societies, to put aside our selfishness and greed and stop seeing our fellow countrymen as aliens, to understand we are all interdependent and share the same goals, the same values. It is time we understand we are much more than the money we have, the things we consume, the clothes we wear. Our life is too short, our job too great. It is time we have the moral courage to step up and voice our disapprovement of the current state of affairs, the lack of justice, of morality, integrity, equality. Voice our non-acceptance of the disguised tyranny of our political systems which are destroying all forms of life on earth, all natural resourses, killing millions of innocent people and children in senseless and insane invasions and wars, causing misery and despair.

Love

Love is all that everything adds up to, not love as it is described with such facility in popular magazines, but the kind of love that is affection and respect, order and encouragement, and support. Our awareness of this is an incalculable source of strength and because real love is something unselfish and involves sacrifice and giving, we cannot help but profit from it. Beneath it all we need to engender a social conscience; there are wrongs which need attention, there are people who are poor and need help. We have responsibility to them and to our societies. With no virtues and accomplishments of our own, we have a responsibility to those who are less well off. What we leave to our sons and daughters and successors is what we say, what we do and what we stand for.

Forgiveness

Nothing that is worth doing can be achieved in our lifetime; therefore we must be saved by hope. Nothing which is true or beautiful or good makes complete sense in any immediate context of history; therefore we must be saved by faith. Nothing we do, however virtuous, can be accomplished alone; therefore we are saved by love. No virtuous act is quite as virtuous from the standpoint of our friend or foe as it is from our standpoint. Therefore we must be saved by the final form of love, which is forgiveness.
